Long story short, People are being assholes by saying they're better just because the other party can not respond to it (And as mentioned they are very much responsible for the people they speak of anyways)

This is almost as annoying as the time they tried to say web space is more dominated by female children then male children because of MySpace and PoS websites filled with lame GIFs and Copy-pasted HTML code. Pathetic attempt to get readers attention. The worst part is these things make things worse to no end.

Unfortunately, so much of the world's focus on "social conscience" for the last 20-30 years has been on trivial things like making sure that video games have ratings and labelling offensive music (plus other forms of quasi-censorship) rather than a hard focus on declining educational standards and a fundamental shift in the makeup of a modern family. Parents today have a cycle of appeasing their kids rather than raising them and then blaming everyone but themselves when the results are less than stellar. It's just really disappointing to see so few people willing to take responsibility for their actions and to do something to make a positive change. As always, people are more worried about covering their asses than actually fixing a problem.

so true. i'm sick of the talking heads patting each other on the back in regards to this subject. they never have original research and can't even get consensus as to where x stops and y begins. these "news" specials on millenials often contend that anyone under 30 can be considered gen y. i checked this out a few years ago and found that i'm at the very edge of gen x.

yes, rambling here, but i also hate the bullshit assertions. it's not the technology dumbing down young people, it is most definitely parents that hover around doing everything for their children. maybe that includes buying them gadgets. however, unlike the writers of these moronic "studies," i'm noticing a resurgence of people who actually care about the world they live in. i mean, where was our social conscience in the 80s when reagan was setting the stage for these decades of bush?

The robo terrorists had to come sooner or later. They don't like dying any more than you or I. It is interesting just how cheaply they can be had, though. I wonder how long until they're as effective in combat as a trained guerrilla.

I didn't realize that it had been so long since I'd posted on the blog. I've had a few thoughts on things, but nothing concrete enough to bring to life, yet. My mind hasn't been working well lately. Not enough sleep or something.

It's a big problem in San Francisco. <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Francisco" rel="nofollow">Wikipedia says</a> SF has the most number of homeless per capita of any US city. Crazy.

There's a great deal of <a href="http://www.sfgate.com/homeless/" rel="nofollow">local discussion</a> about the issue.
